Finchdean buildings, Portsmouth
Originally built in 1883 as part of the Portsea Island Union Workhouse, PLC obtained planning approval for the conversion and extension of Finchdean House to form a total of 71, affordable, one-, two- and three-bed apartments set in landscaped surroundings and central parking court.
This recently completed high quality development was designed for Guinness Hermitage. The redevelopment includes three contemporary extensions to sit alongside the two existing historic buildings. Each has been sympathetically designed to accommodate the new residential use.
