no mans land fort, the solent
Along with Horse Sand Fort, No Mans Land Fort is one of the larger structures defending the Solent. Abandoned as a hotel and spa for almost 10 years, proposals include a plan for the regeneration of the existing facilities in order to restore its function as an entertainment destination for locals and visitors alike.
Given a brief which focused on cost-effective renovation, a structured phasing plan allows for the gradual use of the site by visitors whilst remedial works are undertaken. This would enable the use of No Mans Land Fort as a supporting venue with additional facilities for visitors to the already operational Spitbank Fort.
The end result will be a flexible multi-function destination aimed at casual visitors and families.
