This development, for Radian Housing Association, comprises fifteen affordable apartments with associated car parking.
The building responds to the architectural grain of the area with a form that predominately aspects towards the main roads, thus ensuring minimal impact on the residential property to the south.
The proposed building is one of traditional form and appearance, and references the residential character of the area. High pitched roof forms with feature gables and chimneys, give the building a style sympathetic to the locality. The articulated frontages draw upon Arts & Crafts style detailing, and, along with entrance doors to the front elevations, provide the impression of dwellings rather than apartments.
